What's in your skull?

WWW
« on: November 07, 2008, 07:08:48 PM »

There's a new feature on the forums which involves something I call Skullcash. What's Skullcash you ask? Glad you did...

By posting, you will receive skullcash points (the more you post, the more points you accumulate). Members can also reward other members skullcash points by clicking the "Give it to me!" option under that member's avatar. So what's the skullcash system for? It's a reward to YOU. What does it cost? Nothing. What is the skullcash used for? With enough skullcash you can redeem them for Skullcrafts products. NOTE - By using skullcash, you simply redeem the points and the items you trade them for are sent to you through the mail at NO EXTRA COST to you. It's my way of rewarding you for being a member of our community. Here is the current list of skullcash costs per item...

1 tin of any static grass - 400 skullcash
1 tin of any vegetation - 600 skullcash
1 tin of any leaf scatter - 700 skullcash
1 of any Seasonal Basing Kit - 5000 skullcash

So go and reward your friends. Go post. I'll be rewarding much much more points for posts that I deem worthy of it...or I may just randomly hand some out. So go have fun with it.

NOTE - all skullcash point redemptions are to be sent through PM (to me) only. All PMs are private, no information will be shared. Once skullcash points are redeemed, they will be removed from your total. Skullcash is not redeemable for real cash and is not refundable.

SMALL PRINT - Awarding the same member skullcash points has been set to once per 12 hours. ADMINS can't redeem skullcash points.

And I thought the Golden Tickets were a great idea.  Now you've gone and one-upped yourself.

With all these freebies, do you actually still sell stuff!? lol

Sounds nice, but I really wonder... is it needed? =\
I like the idea, I have to admit, but.. sorry to say it, don't think the forum is active enough for such a thing =(

Thanks everyone (okay, except for Ima) for the feedback. Remember, the reason I am doing this is to reward YOU. Yes it builds the community by encouraging posting, yes it means I will be handing out more free products, yes it means that we (I) may actually have fun with it...but ultimately it's my way of thanking each and every one of you for all the support I've received.

Personally I think it's a great idea James. Obviously you want to have a different approach to the way you do customer service and I believe it will benefit your business. Actually I've been visiting this forum more often because I want to help build the community. The other forums I visit already have a slew of "regulars" who usually get priority on getting responses to their posts, so why not help support a growing community and become a regular. One of the reasons I joined this community is because I think the products offered are something I see myself potentially buying really soon and not because James gives stuff away.

I also think as of late, the forum has been more active. ::0123

I know I visit this board more now then I did before lol, I mean I visit it now.  Not only is the Skullcawsh program cool as heck, but I really like the way the basing material sold here looks and everything.  I hope to in the future help out with a few things and maybe get the volume of people over here to increase a bit.  I know I will be adding the tag in my signature on a couple sites very soon.

James can I make a request for a couple differnt sized banners, I know I could probably get away with a smaller tag vs the super large, yet very cool tag you sport a lot.  Just an idea to be able to support you more.
